need opinions on electric water pump
csi/csr or meziere? i was thinking meziere since they have a 55gph unit versus the normal 35 gph units electric pumps offer. i still drive the car on the street to cruise nights and around for fun. lemme know what you all think, i know littleg has a meziere i think.

Yea, Craig has a Meziere 55 GPH on his 3.8 and he likes it. I'm pretty sure the Jersey_TA has a Meziere too, and only trouble I heard he had with it is that it accidentally came unplugged one night.

cool, i was thinking meziere... i see more of them on cars at shows and the strip then csr's. as far as the plug coming undone, i would put a small ziptie between the wires and loop it around so it couldnt come apart. this will be a small step in the over winter project of weight reduction/more hp gains hehe

Im running a Meizer too right now, no complaints at all. Its pretty silent too but then again I've only had it for 100 miles. The engine temps are defenitly lower then before both on the highway and sitting in traffic.

i have a csi sitting on my shelf, i have to get midmount alt brackets to use it. they are both quality pumps, if one was that much better then the other one, one would be out of business, or atleast stop making them. hey camaro racer i have lower alt. brackets in the box if you were looking to buy some, i couldnt use them and only bolted the alt up with them for test fit purposes, they are the billet aluminum ones from summit, $60.00 new, i'll get rid of them for $30.00

Now I hear a lot of business about electric ones can crap out, won't give you warning, don't trust electrics to keep your engine cool.... do these claims have any base, are the myths, or are they outdated???

Of course an electric pump can crap out....so can a mechanical. So can a belt. So can...everything else.
They are quality pieces, and you shouldn't have any trouble with them.
