New header for the site. What do you think?
Check it out guys, if ya like it, I'll send ya the .jpg and u can slap it up there as the new header. Just thought it should include the beginning, the end, and both fbodies.
And Version 2 as per your request.

I really like the idea, but I dont like how the cars are split in half and mated with their sister car. If it was a T/A on one side and a Camaro on the other, I'd love it!

I like the second version A LOT more!
Now if you could make a few more with different generations on there, that would be awesome!

the only problem i find with any of these is that none of them have a front license plate except the 2nd gen of the current banner which doesnt even look to be a jersey plate...now we all know in the state of nj its law to have a front plate...and no the windshield doesnt count. So we all know those cars are not from NJ origonally...well except for alex's

saint, i definitely dont think its your best work by a long shot. Take this as constructive criticism, cause I'm definitely not saying your work sucks, i just know, by your website and a few conversations with you, that you can do much much better. The font looks too stoney, these are supposed to be fast, modern cars, not something from 400BC. I'm sorry, I dont have a font off the top of my head to suggest to you, but not that one.
Texture the background some, blend the cars in somewhat so they dont just look copy and pasted, and find some other shots of them so they're not so static.
If you were asking about your sig on the other hand... it looks incredible

Well Melissa, I wouldnt take it any other way.
Hear me out on my reasoning though. The forum itself is clean and is mainly solids and gradients of shades of blue. The background is a light gray, and the majority is white. Specifically where the banner lays, is light gray. Any other background (ie the one there now) will end up as a large rectangle and not fade in to the site. So I'm going for a cleaner look.
The font is pretty modern, its the font from Grand Theft Auto. Thought that was in good taste, grungy/graffitti styled like many peoples view of the state, and as a bonus is car related.
And thanks, I'm glad you like the sig. It's more artsy and can be made that way because its a stand alone image. But you dont want a header on a nice clean forum to be so muddy and collage like. Atleast thats not the vibe this sites design gives off IMHO.
As for the choice of cars. The first version is a mesh of the 2 original fbodies, and the other 2 are the last of the breed. There is significance to almost every element of the header. And the reason the T/A is gold is because both of those photos were taken in the same place and time, so they have the same lighting and luckily are VERY close in angle. I couldnt find anything as close in a different color.
And I tried the textured bg as well, but it doesnt flow well enough in to the rest of the gray header, I prefer the continuity of the solid rectangles throughout the forum.
I only made this to maybe assist in the facelift of the forum, because the previous "look" was disgusting. And this new design definetely has potential. I'm pretty solid on the design of the header. I'm a bit suprised at the poll compared to the posts. But its all good.

I'm sure that you put a decent amount of effort into making that, however we would prefer only using banners that displayed the club's logo more prominently.

Version 1 is just freaky, but cool.
I like Version 2, if you used members cars instead.
