do i need a new proportioning valve?
i have a 92 rs that was a disc/drum combo. i put the 00 up style disc brakes on teh rear of the car when i swapped in my ford 9 " rear. do i need to change the proportioning valve to maximize the brake usage? also what one should i use with teh minimal issues with fittings, adaptors, etc?? thanks

im gonna guess yes with a 3rd gen but thats all I know about that

just get a stock one for a 3rd gen with 4 wheel disc brakes

yea you need to change it. a 1LE prop valve will do the trick, but if ya need any old one just grab one out of a 4 wheel disk car and youll be just fine.

any one have any for sale??? will a lt1/ls1 prop valve work too? are the fittings the same on there?

No, you will need a thirdgen one if you wanna keep the same lines...

they dont have prop valves, they go in through the ABS system and its distributed through there, gotta find one from a thirdgen or a GM dealer, maybe GM parts direct has one.
however, an LS1 master cyl will work on your booster, it looks a hell of a lot nicer too.

You do need a prop valve and a master cylinder. You should be fine with stock 3rd gens ones. Get the ones listed for your 1992 model. Your booster should be fine. I see no reason to mess around with the 4th gen parts.

i used a ls1 master cyl, its the same, just looks alot nicer. as i said, its just a choice. thirdgen one is great too.

no advantage other than its not ugly like the stock thirdgen one. different resivour and the master cyl itself looks different, it just looks better, cleaner, thats all.
