Whats my car worth?
Well im not selling the car but i was just wondering what i could get for the thing...
specs..
2001 WS6 Trans Am
salvage title
48k miles on the car itself
100 miles on brand new motor... LS6 block with forged diamond pistons and ARP bolts
Abosolute speed stage 2.5 LS6 heads
TTP equilizer cam v3.1
TNT nitrous kit... bottle heater, digital pressure guage, purge kit, window switch.
racetronix fuel system
2000miles on moser 12bolt,with all upgrades
eaton hd posi
33spline axels
aluminum cover
extended wheel studs
spec stage 3 clutch with the aluminum flywheel
those are the major mods
then we have the minor stuff
pro 5.0 shifter, bmr subframes, bmr control arms, bmr trq arm, bmr strut tower brace, lakewood DS loop, Weld prostar skinnies, autometer fuel psi guage, FLP headers, slp loudmouth, slp fan switch, 160'stat, brand new water pump, raptor shift light. and im sure there is a bunch of stuff i forgot
condition of the car.... i bought the car totaled, i found it on ebay went to look at it, it wasnt really that bad, so i bought it and it was profesionally repaired at my dads shop. paint is so so now, it was my first car and it has some scratches here and there from school and parking it at the mall and stuff like that.
im just looking for ur opionions to see what it is worth... if i was going to sell it i would put it up for 14,000 OBO but i would take 13k for it... do you guys think this is reasonable?

Sounds pretty resonable for the amount of mods, any ball park range spent on the mods?

if you were to sell it, demod it first. but its definately worth good money. from a used car salesman supposedly the big thing right now is cars with unclean titles. autobody and chassis repair has come along so well that it is much easier to bring a car to as close to 100 percent as possible. so in other words the car is worth almost as much as one that wasnt in an accident. does that help at all?

ya i think i could get the money for it, but id rather take 12,000-12,500 for the car then demod it.. after spending countless hours working on the car and getting it where it is, im definatly not going to spend many more hours taking it apart

I think the only setback will be the salvage title, other than that if someone doesn't care about the title you could probably get that kind of money for it. I was lucky with mine; my friend had it, totaled it, and I bought it, did the work and all the body work and it still has a clean title. I don't plan on selling it though, so it doesn't really matter.

i still think with the amount of work thats been put into the car you could ask $15k obo & probably get someone to buy it for $14k

Meh. When I buy a car I like it to be as close to stock as possible. When its worked on I 1) Dont know who did the work and 2) Was most likely beat on. 8-10k

yea but in this case everyone knows who did the work
me and george did everything to the car, therefore everyone should know it is done right..
