good place to look for exhaust tips

hey wheres a good place to get dual exhaust tips that will fit a magnaflow 3" cat back? i wana get dual twin exhaust tips for my car but it seems like every place i look they only have either 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" and if they have 3" theyre either not duals or i dont liek the look of them.. ive already checked summit and jegs. i found a set of magnaflow dual tips on summit (they arent exactly what i want but theyll work) that ill get if i cant find what i want. any suggestions? just to make sure the inlet for the tips would be 3" right so that they would fit a 3" exhaust or am i wrong?

i know i have talked to denny at mufflex before and they seem to be able to get tons of different types of tips. if he can't get exactly what you are looking for i bet he can make some up for you.

wheres this place at? also 2-1/2" or up tips would work on the exhaust but it would create a bottle neck there wouldnt it?

that far back in the system a 2.5inch inlet will not have a dramatic effect on your exhaust flow.
mufflex is in hamilton, near trenton.
since you are getting yoru system from exhaust guys you shoudl ask them. they have a huge warehouse of stuff. i bet there are a few tips in there someplace.

my magnaflow on my SS came with the single long 3.5" tips on each side. What size are the taillpipes on your magnaflow?

yea i thought so, so if brando has the same setup, just tips arent going to do it unless he gets them to fit a 3.5 pipe, otherwise he'll have to cut the pipe much further back, then add an extension, and then the new tips. just as long as everyone realizes that 2.5" tips will not just clamp on to a magnaflow cat back system

true, the tips/tailpipes are the same piece on magnaflow. Like Paul said you'd have to cut the tips off the tialopipe or get an extension made up to get them to reach all the way back

Social Networks:

Finding a straight set of 2.5" f-body tailpipes would be cake. I have two sets of them in my garage (both attached to mufflers that are quasi-spoken for). You can look for them, or just go to a muffler shop and give them the stock magnaflow tips, and have them create another set of tailpipes that match them, with the tips that you picked out on the end instead. Then you can sell the magnaflow tips to make up some of your cost.
