Hmmm, what mods next?

If my bonus is big enough I might be looking for some new mods for the SS. I'm in the middle of the header/y-pipe swap so I don't need that. And I really want to go with 17x11 with 315's in the rear so that't probably the next thing. And I might be selling the crossram setup and hood from the JL8 project since I have a couple of people very serious about the parts, so that would free up a lot of cash($25-30K)! So it could be a happy new year after all!

Wait.....so selling that crossram and hood would lessen the value of your '69 by how much?

Probably less than what I could sell the stuff for. I think I will have a better buying audience for the car without the crossram stuff and it will still probably have the potential to bring in $150K or more for the car from talking to several serious collectors. I might end up restoring it back to stock specs instead of the crossram/headers/Minilite wheels/transistor ignition/heater delete/radio delete stuff I was going to do. Several guys have told me they would be more interested in the car restored to stock condition and that would give them the option to add the crossram if they wanted to.

Well in that case, have fun....then get a nice head/cam package and a tune.

I won't be doing anything like heads/cam unless I'm gonna build a blower motor and then the whole thing would be coming out. So I'm really just looking at some other bolt ons to go with the longtube headers. Heck, it doesn't even have the 160 t-stat yet! But right now I just want to get the header install finished and that's going to wait another day or 2 until the garage warms up some more and my sore muscles feel better.

Apparently he doesn't like cats. It won't have any cat right away since the Pacesetter y-pipe doesn't have them. I'll be adding them eventually though.

And since it already has the SLP 2OTL cat-back I don't need to spend money for another setup yet. Sorry, no NOS on my cars but the supercharger idea might be real since it looks like I have a buyer for the crossram stuff.

i woudl jsut stick to bolt ons for now. this is the car that you wanted to have as an easy driver to enjoy, heads/cam/blower will be better once you make it into a race car.
cold garage? mr. heater can help. deep dark winter can be turned into t-shirt weather in under an hour and 1 propane tank will get you most of the way through the winter. available at lowes of course
