Short people w/ nice cars come together
5'4 over here. Parked in the driveway is a ballsy 05 GTO 400hp. MY gf loves that i'm short. Sometimes I think she loves the GTO more (j/k). 99% of my friends are taller then me, but I'll frog stomp them on the road

If you're gorgeous short then at 5'3" I guess that makes me...what, like radiant short? Angelic short? Whatever comes after gorgeous. My wife is shorter than me so she doesn't mind (or so she says). As long as I can reach the pedals in my '81 Camaro I'm tall enough.

Koll = crap. That explains the tall boat post. So at 5'6 I'm just average short. But I think I've been compressing the last few years so I might be down to 5'5. I used to weigh 135 but ever since I built the bar and we've had beer on tap I jumped to 145.

I like that "average short" Us short people have our own standards of short now. I would say 5'6 is tall short. I'm borderline average short and tall short.

Statistically 5'-6" is the cut-off for being average height. Anything 5'-6" or below is officially short (in this country anyway. if you want an ego boost go to mexico). So 5'-6" is as tall as you can be while still being short. As far as having our own standards, we are definitely our own worst critics. We know we're short but everytime you see someone shorter than you, you're the first one to be like "Psh! Hah! Look at that guy! He's so short!"

Mid 30's is young! Almost 40 is where it starts to get painful. I've been working on the header install 2 nights in a row and man am I sore, tired, old(covered that in another post). But the good thing about being short(tall, avg or short short) is that you can actually fit under the car to work on it!

Being short can have some advantages....One of my best friends is 5'3", and he can buy a pair of sneakers in kids size for $60, when I would have to pay $115 for the same pair in size 12 (I'm 6'2")
