Got my New HARMAN KARDON

Well after years of running "sony" as my Home (surrond sound system) I broke down and picked up a new HARMAN KARDON reciever.
Man, this thing is sweet" it ABSOLUTLEY ROCKS
I "paired" it up with my Bose 301, sony 3pc surrond speakers, and sony sub...WOW....you can just keep turning the dial to the right...no distortion at all (Yeah my neighbors were loving me last night!!)
Funny thing is...the Watts are less than half of my old sonys "claim"...
but HARMAN KARDON..is the real deal!!

yea they do make kick ass sound systems, that was an option for our first computer (back in 95) 5.1 surround sound, although it was never more then 3.1 surround cuz the way my dad has it hooked up you cant see the back of it, it hasnt been reconfigured since we got it. it still works great though, and yea i know what u meant about the distortion, ive turned it up nearly all the way when no1 was home and could hear it perfectly!

sony is the worst. that comment was totally based on car audio products but if their other products reflect their car audio in any way, shape, or form i would stay the hell away from them. damn you to hell sony

i just installed a Sony DVD-RW drive in my comp.

i'll say this , their car audio stuff is definitley not an accurate reflection of their other products.

it's true. now, for sound, harmon kardon is certainly a good place to start. they offer several ground floor systems that will rock your socks, because you've been listening to garbage all of your life. once you get accustomed to HK, then you can start looking into other "name brand" acoustic appliances.

those peak watts numbers are used to sell to the uninitiated. oh my god, 800 watts?!? now, you're talking...

you thought THD (total harmonic distortion) under .5% was good, right?
