Power antenna & UMI short stick installed

WOOT!

My T/A never had a power antenna, even though I thought all of them got them. So, with the parts car between rob_ws6 and me i swiped the power antenna off it.

I must say I am very proud of GM. Not only were the 3 power wires w/ connector already back there, the stationary antenna unplugs at the base also (unlike thirdgen's). And as a added bonus, the bolt hole was there too! The only thing I need to do is drill a hole for the drain hose. Now it has a little bit of a cleaner look.

Also, I recieved my UMI short stick and what a difference on that. I had to open the holes a little because the hurst billet shifter I have has bigger and finer threads, then grind the heads of the screws to fit in the countersunk areas on the handle. I unfortunetly couldn't use the hardware they gave me. All and all, Im happy.

Next is replacing my foglight lens thats cracked.....

Oh yea, id take pictures, but its 10:00 at night and I just got done.... maybe tomorrow if i can get to the car if its not buried under snow.

I thought about replacing the antenna on the IROC with a power one, especially since #2 kid opulled the last one off, but just haven't gotten around to it. How easy was the install?

BTW, I'm a *die hard* Iggles fan but CONGRATS on the Super Bowl. I've always repected the Stellers organization and Cowhler.

Honestly, I dont knwo how hard it is on a Thirdgen. On my 96, the antenna is in the rear, so I just had to pull off the spare tire panel. Since I don't have a spare tire and jack, that was one less thing in the way. And like in the post above, the wire leads were back there, and the antenna plugged right in.

Thirdgens are a bitch cause you have to pull all that paneling off around the wheelwell and reach back in there.....I think.

Oh, and thanx for the congrats on my team. My hometown is a few minutes from pittsburg, so I've a pittsburgh fan forever.
