First Jobs?
I know some of us have had some ****** jobs in the past. How old were you and where was your first job? and if thats not your worst, what was?
my "first" job was always working at Island, but I wasn't on the books til I was 16 or so, and was 'helping' or getting in the way there since I was a lot younger.
my first real job according to the govt was K-Mart at 15 or 16. Retail sucks ass.

My first job was with the Roxbury TWP DPW when I was 16... I was an assistant supervisor / laborer at our township recycling center ... we would have people coming in to do community service to help the residents empty their cars out of recycling for hour-write-offs . It was big money to me at that age, i was making $7.50/hr. I worked every weekend there since March 2001 (I was 16) until I was hired as a full-time temporary in June 2003 to replace someone that was out on injury for our sanitation department. Ive been there ever since... but Im full time now which means I get my $10,000+ in health/dental/ins benefits and make $19.00/hr Within the next two years I should be a Driver which makes about $23.00/hr . BTW, Im 21. And since I bought all that part-time/full-time-temp time back into my pension, I can retire at 41
Other than that, I worked at a garden shop down the road for me which sucked cuz i worked alot of hours for only $7.00/hr. That only lasted for about 2 months. Ive really only held 2 jobs, and basically still with my first.

I worked at the local parts store. Turned 17 started delivering parts and running the counter. At the time i stopped working there I was pretty much running the show and got to order people around tell them where to know and what not. It probably helped that I was the only one working at the place that knew anything about cars. And yeah we had ricers in all the time and they always paid full price and sometimes the "delivery charge" when they were ******** or when their car looked too hideous...

I worked at Cost Cutters when I turned 16 and quit when I was 20 because I had to go to school. I started out just working the register and stocking the shelves, but my last year and a half I was the "front end supervisor". that meant I never worked the registers, barely had to stock shelves anymore and got to sit in the office and count money. I also got to tell everyone except the managers what to do. fun job but it paid crap.

My first job was as a paperboy when I was 12. My worst job was working as a dishwasher part time in college(one of my 3 part time jobs at the time). ****** hours, pay wasn't great and it was hot as balls.

"Sandwich Artist" and later, Supervisor at Subway when I was 17. Yeah, it sucked. No, I did NOT meet Jared. And please, do not sing the subway slogan jingle.

I was a paperboy when I was 13 y/o. Delivered them on my RM80. Then I worked on a ranch owned by Walt Garrison of the Dallas Cowboys. In highschool (class of '86) I worked at the now defunct SuperShops. Then I got a job working at the shop of Connie Kalitta just doing menial stuff. The big drag racer for those who don't know. Shortly before I graduated I found out the he was, yes, a closeted homosexual. Who liked younger boys lol. One of my buddies was hit on and he told me about it so I got the hell out of there. He never hit on me, but he sure was friendly sometimes. You never know

Yep. He was married, had a son about my age (who went on to be a pro racer) and looked to be a normal guy. Looking back, I should have found it odd that wherever he was, home, shop or the track, he was always surrounded by teenage boys and hanging out with no one but them.

i started off working at a place that restored(only the mechanical end of it) old jags. i was 14 and i worked there for 2or3 summers. they never let me do anything other that sweep the floors. i think i was getting like $5 an hour cash. then i went to some bodyshops and did that scene for about 5 years. now i work for a company that builds street rods as a bodyman and mechanic.

On the books, I was 16 when I worked at Target for 6 months. $7.00/hr, but it wasn't too bad.
Off the books, I was babysitting early, and I worked consession stands for the Ewing Girls Soccer and Softball associations. Made $6 or $7 under the table per hour. Was nice cash at like 12 yrs old.
