DAMNIT, i was not expecting this tonight

Well, got home and put on the wheels i got from funrudy. (excellent guy/seller, rims look great, thanks a million).

The damn headlight motor is grinding. so now i get to order the brass gear for it, might as well do both so thats 80 bucks. I could do the free fix by spinning the nylon gear 180* but id rather just do it right when i do it.

I swear, i drive the damn car once a week and every time i do something new arises. Water pump is leaking, rear intake seal leaking, headlight motor grinding, still need to center the rear a little more..... ahhhhhhhhhhh

edit = other good news for today besides the rims :
my TA aluminum rear cover that i bought from someone over on cz28 came today. WEEEEEEE, now i can pull my rear off, por 15 the **** outta it, and put the purdy cover on.....

i did the fix on my 91. that design flaw is the 3 little pucks flatten out and go bad. on 4th gens, its the nylon gear that strips out.

I wanna go back in time when designers design some of the worst stuff. factory jacking locations on thirdgens, headlight motors, opti spark location......

I odn't know, i think they got a little better. plus the added "do not jack" on the plastic honeycombed area.

doesnt matter to me with the SFC's on there, they make it a lot easier.

Definition "Headlight motor": an item rarely used during daylight hours and usually found in pairs. Most commonly referred to as a piece of equipment included within a weight reduction list

Just thought I'd jump in and ask if anyone has had issue w/water pump yet on an LS1. I get the distinct feeling that strange noises are being emitted from this area.
