We used to meet at Fudd's 2nd Tuesday of every month when the CJC/FO was still active. The guys from the "cruise" night made it pretty clear that we (with the later model F-Bodys) were not welcome to participate in "their" show.

We weren't looking to get into their "show" but we had been meeting there for several years prior and on Tuesday's they basically take over most of the parking lot and that left almost no room for us to park. They had newer cars in their "show" so there was no age limit. But we moved to Chili's on rt 1 because there were mostly people from down in our area driving up there which didn't make sense. We were only getting 1 or 2 locals to come out and meet up so we relocted.

Yes, the issue wasn't just with new cars (as they originally claimed) it was just with our cars. Last year they changed their meet night from Monday to Tuesday, and wouldn't let anyone else park in 2/3 of the parking lot. There were a good 25-30 spots that they had marked off, and were not using, that they refused to let us park in. Fudds management had to come out and ask them to move their cones so that we could park.
Ugh. People like that give this hobby a bad name.

I think the move further south to accomodate the people who were willing to show up to the dinners / meets was a good idea. Plus, Chilli's has a better beer selection.
As for the cars, I'm into Trans Ams. If I wanted an old Ford, I woulda gotten one. Better to be surrounded by driven F-bodies, than someones trailer queen.
EDIT: And that megaphone that kept howling across the parking lot was very annoying.
