May be a grudge race in the process >:-D
One of my brother's friends just bought himself an STi, stock. He claims he can win over my car with my current mods. This may just go down at island after Memorial Day weekend. A stock STi runs 13.6 @ 99ish , while mine ran 13.3 @ 105 . This is going down AFTER i install my LT's + ORY (which he doesn't know about) Any thoughts?

if a sti stock runs 13.6, and he leaves it stock, he wont get it under 13.9 the first few times at the track, IMO

they can be a little quicker than 13.9s depending on how much the kid wants to beat on his clutch
be prepared to get owned in the 60' (unless you went and bought some tires) and then haul him in a little before the 1/8th and ending up about a car ahead

yep i raced an sti a couple weeks ago on the street real early in the morning when nothing else was around he got me off the line but i reeled him in and pulled ahead plus awd cars are "different" to launch then a rwd car so hes not gonna be perfect his first time to the track meanwhile you more then likely will be... either way good luck and get a video also i wouldnt count on him being completeley stock either

that sould be a good race, like everyone else said watch out for his 60' with awd. He might even turn up his boost for the race, which could be bad for you.

STI's can go low 13's.
If he can drive then he could really hole shot you and beat you.
Grantwed.... if he just bought the car then he probably can't drive it to its full potential

Well, once on my way home from 59, an STi decided to come play with me...it did not sound stock, but i figured, what the ****...we took off from a 25 mph roll and we both took off like bats out of hell...i pulled ahead and put a half a car on him at about 115 when i saw him slow down...couldn't explain how it happened but it did...would like to try to race one from a dead stop to see what happens...so i think you can take a stock/mildly modified STi

if it runs 13.6's with a profesional grabbin gears, teh average street smacker would be lucky to see the 13's at all in his first half dozen passes.

Yes, definitely get a video! It sounds like you have the upper hand, being experienced with your car and all!
