looks like the jack point just went and it fell. I was putting a wheel on and it fell..The wheel isnt on or anything its just like trapped on the hub. my Door is dented(pushed) out ward. is their any possible chasis damage? the rear also fell about a good 2 inches on to a jack stand

Go buy a decent jack so next time it dosent fall. Funny how ur just brushing this off as nothing. What if ur leg was underneath?? Also I likew to move my jack stands up as the car goes up So if it was to give the jack stands are right there.

Yeah this is bad. I know some one coulda got real hurt. thanks for the tips on moving the jack stand up as the car goes up! Its not the jack, that jack is pretty damn good considering a aftermarket jack is worse..Im going to see if I can get the jack point fixed or even replaced maybe even add some structure to it, Im going to buy a new floor jack so I can jack the car up so I can put the tire on! Im so thankfull I didnt get hurt!! But Is their any way it coula caused damage? im especially worried about the door being pulled out like that!

Life lesson... my dad has 2 metal rods in each arm because he was under a car that wasnt properly jacked up by his friend and the car fell on him... but instead of laying flat, the first instict is to try and catch it, and he sent both arm bones thru his wrists. What you need to do is not put the jack where the 1 front fender bolt is, cuz thats where it looks like u put it ... if u do that, itll either push your fender in, or pull it out. Jack it up a little past it and ur set.

I dont know much about that but the jack that i have is huge and i either jack the car up from the rear or the front. So either way i have two wheels of the ground at once. I do this cuz i was watching my neightbor once jack up his Jeep and it fell and broke this foot once he had me drive the Jeep off of it.

get urself a regular floor jack and when u kacl up the front of the car pu tthe jack under the front control arm/right underneath the spring pocket, and when u do the rear just jack up under the center of the rear, just make sure u catch the rear and not just the sway bar/or if u want to only jack up one side jack up from under were the lca mounts to the car.and always use jack stands

dude, liek it's been said always jack by the center of the rear, the k-member
(although that's a little risky since it's smooth, but fine as logn as youre aware of what youre doing), or on the frame. The stock jackign locations are fine for the stck jack, but not for any others.
looks liek you messed up your rocker panel.

if it was in the air for a week...why didnt you set it down on the jackstands instead of leaving it on the jack

the factory jack points suck and should only be used with the factory jack. i have a nice big floor jack and always jack it up from the frame except on the passenger side front cuz the Y-pipe is to low and the lip and the pinch weld are GONE and both my fenders are pushed out from the lift at the shop, (they now use the frame too)
