New "Kid"
Hey guys. Im new to the Camaro scene as I just purchased 1996 Z28. Im 17 but have loved Camaro's since I can remember. The car needs some minor work and little "fix-ups". Other then that I want to pick the best and most efficient modifications to put a few more horses under the hood. My dad, nor I, have ever raced but he has a 67 Corvette. Thats just to tell a little bit about me. Hopefully i get to meet some members in person when we get a gathering in North Jersey.. One questioin, Is there a way i can become a "supporting member" or put in a contribution to the site? Thanks and hope to meet some more owners soon

Welcome! What part of the North do you speak of? Because we all know North Jersey > Central + South Jersey
To answer your question about contribution, IIRC at the top of the Lounge, youll see "support the site" or something ... go in there and buy a tshirt or two. And post pics of the car too

Welcome welcome... where in north jersey are you? Also the most basic mods to start with are intake and exhaust... other things depends on how much youre willing to spend, what you want out of the car etc.

Welcome to the club!
If you are interested in supporting the club/website there is a thread at the top of the Lounge called T-Shirts and Donations: http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16974
All transactions are done through Paypal. There isn't a specific "Supporting Member" tag that goes under your username or anything, but every time you wear your shirt around other members, they will know that you helped support us

Welcome to the site. Regardless of where you live, just remember your cardinal directions - if you want to go north, you must in fact drive north. Some folks in Central have a hard time with directions, even though they can crawl in, around and over engine bays.
Easiest way to get involved is watch for those formal and informal gatherings in the North Jersey section. With summer coming up, and people out of school, you'll find plenty to do throughout the week.

I'll add to the fray WHERE ARE YOU IN N. JERSEY.
But anyway yes the North is way better then any other section of the state, except for 4 months out of the year when Central rules due to the beaches being over run with hotties from all over.
The north would be cooler if people like 12secV6 would stop F-ing up the joint with his exhaust changes on cars that don't need DUAL EXHAUSTS.... LMAO

Sorry for not getting time in to respond, i was honestly not expecting so many responses andd stupid finals and stuff. Im trying to answer all the questions at once here so sorry if i miss one. I live in the morris county area, Rockaway to be exact. I have been looking for some time to meet up with some other f body owners so if anything happens im sure to be there. Including the Island meet. Ill post pics of the camaro and the vette. I didnt check it for some time and did NOT expect to be so welcomed.. but it was great, so thanks for the welcome. This is great! I cant wait to meet up and see some of your cars. but anyway, heres the pics:

^This one is from when I just got the car..

Hope to see you guys at the meets. Ill try and keep up the posts next time too. And if some guys want to meet this weekend in North Jersey swing me an email or something.. should be nice weather
