Dash is back in and

So, heater core got ditched.

I cleaned up everything under the dash. Removed nonessential things, reinstalled guages in vents. I still have to make a block off plate.

I went to start it.....eventually started but revved up to 2,000?!?!?! Eventually came down... and up... and down... and SES light. Code 0102? MAF sensor voltage low?

Damn....this code has happened once or twice this year... I kinda ignored it... now it stays on permanently. Bird will run fine... but every now and then it idles funny.

Looks like MAF is dead.... and I didn't kill this one with the silly sauce?!?!?!?!

Oh well, oh yeah, craig.... the battery sits really nice on the frame rail where the heater core is! I have pics but it isn't installed yet, and I should make a heat shield for the battery... or maybe cover the battery in heat resistant crap.

More pic's to come

you mean on the frame rail right in front of the firewall? craig and i talked about making a blank for the a/c box and mounting it high on the firewall there. moves the weight back about 3ft and should allow for much shorter cables to the starter
