August 1st. Raceway

Anyone else going for the GM high tech performance magazine? Guy said they'll be 10 cars there, hopefully I'll get to meet some of you!

Its invite only and I was told one other person could join me. I think 3 out of the 10 are on this board. headers and a open plate on a brola?? Thats loud. maybe you should bring the other plates in case you need to change them out.

Scott was strong about the 95db rule when we talked.

See you there Tuesday.

wow...considering there are bolt on ls1's in the 10's im amazed they let some of you guys in(no offense) I would just think you'd need to at least be in the 11's bolt on only to even get an invite

Its a budget shootout.. Heck 1400 dollars on minor bolt-ons mods and run 12.6-12.5 @ over 110mph on a good day. Kim ran a 12.7 @ the Fbody Clash @90+ degrees. Of course with it being 100 degrees on the event day I will be lucky if it will run 12.9

No headers, cam and stock converter. Just add a converter and I would be close to an 11 second run on a good night.

I'm sure they have bolt on 10 second cars and bolt on 13 second cars - they want a broad range of cars to test to show what mods make what kind of difference. I'm sure some of us are just the "baseline pawns" (probably including me) to show what basic bolt ons do to real power ones.

Was that you being pushed backwards today? Did you run at all? Boy was it hot as heck out there today. Best we did today was 13.0's @107 We could not leave above idle withot it spinning for 100ft.

I have a few more to add...

Sorry in advance, everything was from my camera phone.

and a video of the lambo... well mainly just the sound but still cool.

overall a very fun day. Was nice to see you guys!

on another note I was told off to the side that my car would not have passed the 95 db limit.. Would you agree bandit? I want to go back soon but I may have to hold on.

bandit - yea that was me being pushed backwards to leave, blew reverse on the car friday, damn work boots. i got two runs in be4 i stopped, best was a 15.8 on like a 2.6 60' horrible day, and track prep blew. i had to stop on my third run cuz i heard something bang really loud on the 2-3 shift and then it wouldnt go into 3rd. driving the car home back to ct, the tranny was going up and down(the shifter atleast) the whole trip so i think i broke the tranny mount or atleast tore it

ryan - were u the one with the ws6 with the silver stripes

Ryan you and the Lambo were the loud cars of the event. After you left the car made 3 13.0 passes in a row and was hoping to crack into the 12's @ over 100 degrees.

88 hope you get the car fixed soon. good luck.

Go to Atco next time you want to run.. Tuesday night 13 bucks to run.

Man, that yellow car is butt ugly and so are the wheels on it. Too bad they got the worst possible day to run any car with it being so hot and no clouds at all. So what was the real idea behind this whole event?
