Looking for backdrop for a photoshoot.....help
Ok so I found out today that not only will Chevy Rumble be running my interior article, but they are also interested in doing a feature article on the whole car. I need to get pictures to them by late next week or early the week after. I've got a photographer lined up but I need a location.
I don't know what the best background might be. I was thinking maybe an abandoned garage, a park setting, a large building with mirrored windows, or possibly just a big open parking lot. If anyone has any exact locations that would look good please let me know and even post up some pics if you can. I'd greatly appreciate it guys!

Your in Bridgewater... so ur not that far of a drive from my area. See if you can set something up with Waterloo Village, cuz Im sure they arent holding any field trips, especially since there is no elementary school in the summer. Also, the ITC Trade Zone in Mt. Olive (right off Exit 26 on Rt. 80W) has a ****load of parking lots and alot of buildings with mirrored windows. Or if you wanna make a little extra trip, refer to this thread where I took my last pictures http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19083 99% open road after 5:30PM everyday.

What kind of scenery is in Waterloo Village. ITC might be good....my aunt used to work there. I'll call her to ask about it some more.
Keep the ideas coming guys.

Waterloo Village is like an indian reservation type area, with some ponds/lakes,lots of woods and indian villages. Its actually not that far from ITC, so maybe ur aunt knows about it too.

if you want abandoned warehouse stuff, there are a few places around here that I could scout out a little better.

Paul if you want some natural scenery like fields/horse pastures with nice tree backgrounds you could come out to our farm. Its in North Hanover, and you are more than welcome to.

Weehawken, NJ. Backdrop would be midtown Manhattan. Take route 3 towards the Lincoln tunnel, then take the last exit before the tunnel. Go through the stoplight to the bottom of the exit ramp and make a right. Then take the next light and make a left (police station on the corner). Wind your way under the overpass to a stop sign. Go straight through the stop sign towards The Chart House (restaurant). When you spot the restaurant on your left, pull into the parking lot and park somewhere on your left (facing north and the Manhattan skyline).
If your shoot is this Tuesday night I can go with you.
Second idea - there is an overlook spot off route 78 in Bridgewater, west bound, just before you get to the 287 exit. Go to the top of the overlook, and take pics - you may not have the right angle to catch all of the Raritan Valley behind you, however you'll have plenty of night sky - black backdrop on a white car. Plus this is a lot closer than the first idea.
Bridgewater mall, upper parking deck. The hills of Bridgewater would be behind you. Maybe a twilight shot with just enough light to illuminate the hills.
Lots of horse farms in Far Hills, just off route 202. Not too far from you. White picket fences, wide grassy fields. Thats better for daytime shots though.

All very good ideas. I'm gonna try to decide this weekend so I can let the photographer now. I'm gonna go check out some of the suggested spots.

There's a beautiful lake in Thompson Park located in Jamesburg. I go there all the time. This is from last month of my Mustang at this park... Not bad if you like the water scene!
