yield to pedestrians?

do you?

according to the GMAC Insurance Driver's Test lots of people ignore pedestrians in the crosswalks. scary. take the test, pretend you are 16 again and about to take the permit test. see if you can pass. i bet you don't. it's amazing how much we forget about the rules of the road and the specifics of the laws and guidelines that are outlined in the driver's manual... 'nuff said.

i got 95% the one i got wrong was #18 about the directing drivers on some highways... eh oh well

as for pedestrians, if they seem to be attentive and looking waiting patiently, ill stop and let them go, but if they look like asses, i make sure i'm loud to get their attention and i keep going. if they dont pay attention at all, i obviously let them go, but i stare them down with an evil look, lol

In my area they are pretty strict about letting people cross in the cross walks. So yes I do stop for pedestrians.

I almost always yield, though I do hate it when they put up their arms like they control traffic. I think, I always appreciate when people are polite to me, so why not spend an extra 5 seconds and be polite to the world? Oh how I hate impolite drivers.

ahahah that reminds me. i was coming back from work one day and i was pretty pissed. and i saw people walking across the street. well some of them saw a coming and moved quickly but there was this one wigger who just kept doing his "i just got shot in a leg" walk and kept eyeballing me... so i droped to 2nd and floored it - he moved. i get mad road rage sometimes

I always stop for pesestrians but not because of safety reasons. It just gives me another opportunity to make a lot of unnecessary noise getting back up to speed.

this one time i was on my way to work there were some younger kids crossing the street and they were in 2 groups, the first group was all girls n they got out of the way so i proceed down the street and then the second group just runs across the street and some box of crackerjacks loser from my old high school puts up his hands and yells at me to watch out, so i got as close as possible and slammed on the brakes right at his leg! i look over and theres a cop i know sittin in the parkin lot just up the block, he pulls out and stops the kid and writes him a jay walking ticket!!! oradell cops rule, i was so happy lol

a few years back my friend was driving on a local side street and a kid ran out not payign attention and he got on the brakes hard and barely tapped the kid, but just enough to knock him over. well the kid went inside crying to my mom, My friend then had to go to court a few weeks later, charges got dropped it was all good, then as he was backing out of his spot at court, he wasnt lookign back and almost hit the kid again while walkign with his mom to their car. we all died laughing.
