Blown water pump fuse!
Last night I was driving on Route 287/ 440 heading for route 9, and my check gage light came on! My Z was over heating. I pulled over right away and shut it down. It was a bad spot to stop but nowhere else to go. I had it towed to my appartment. Later I found a blown fuse for the electric water pump. The fuse was buried in the wire loom(sp). The question is since I shut it down right away did I still do any damage to the head gaskets? How tough are these LT1's. Tomorow I am going to do a pressure test on the cooling system. I hope it's just the blown pump fuse!

If you shut it off as soon as the check gauges light came on, I'm gonna say that you are prolly ok. A pressure test is a good idea anyway, just to be on the safe side.
