Yeah defenitly don't buy from SLP, you have a better chance of finding them on LS1tech in the classified sections. Also you'll need spacers for those as well. But other then that I would defenitly put some 10-spokes on it.

You are going to have to get spacers for them.

well i already have the new z06 rims on my 94 z28 so im goin to go for custom wheel that will fit with out spacers.still want 17s with a little rubber around them, perhaps 8-8.5 up front to 9-10 in the rear. any good suggestions for clean, non-bling bling non-ricer rims, that arent already on a 1000 different 3rd gens?

From TGO:

I was lookin through an old Car Craft mag (from 2000), and thought I might add what they wrote. The article was called The Biggest Meats For Your Muscle Car. The info they gave for 3rd gens is:
'82-'92 Camaros and Firebirds
15-inch: 15x8 with 4 1/2-inch backspacing front and rear. Use tires with an aspect ratio of 55 or less with a section width of 255.
16-inch: 16x8 with 4 1/2-inch backspacing front, 5 1/8 backspacing rear. Use tires with an aspect ratio of 55 or less and a section width of 255.
17-inch: 17x9 with 5 1/2 inch backspacing front and rear. Use tires with an aspect ratio of 40 or less with section widths of 255 front, 275 rear.
18-inch: 18x9 1/2 with 5 1/2-inch backspacing front, 18x10 with 6-inch backspacing rear. Use tires with an aspect ratio of 35 or less with section widths of 275 fron, 275-295 rear.
|
And to add to that, I've seen several 3rd gens with 17x11s out back with no issues....

thank you very much. im not to worried about the rear its the front that worried about rubbing. i have 18X9.5 all the way around on my 1994 and they dont rub, and from what im gettin from the article a 17X9 should fit all the way around on my 1991 RS. am i reading it right?

Agreed. My dad had a 65 Belvadier and he had spacers to hold his tires. He said one day he was going down the highway, and he saw a tire rolling alongside his car on the driverside, and he said "Hey, someone lost their wheel!! ........ Oh ****..... thats mine!" lmao
