Really trick, the only thing is you can't get 1st overdrive because the one - one shift -- it comes out of 1st so fast maybe one rev of the tire -- hahahaha
The guy wanted it for pulling a new trailer up the mountains ??and its great having the extra gears i guess -- jz

not cut outs its a balance pipe developed buy ford in the early 60s on the awesome 427 cars -- the one headers negative pulse works off the other to create a suction ( like a siphon ) large pipe high speed air passing smaller pipe -- on the other header it works real well -- dynos testing has shown it to work but not on all motor combos -- jz

How was the install on the gear splitter? I've always wondered how much of an advantage those things offered.

I know, see the guy? I was busting hump because the pipe is missing.

Them GV units are big $$, like $2300 or somethings, right?

Yea, they sell for somewhere in that range. I think the standard model can support up to 800hp, and they will custom build one to stand up to whatever your car puts out, and warranty it as well.

Run a TH400 with 4.10 gears, and you appreciate the 0.78 O/D on the street And mine came out of a setup that was running over 1,000HP.

My one regret about putting a 200R4 trans in my AMX is that there isn't a Gear Vendor available for it, due to the fact that the 200R4 doesn't have a removable tail shaft.
