Probably 5k maybe 6, Doesn't really matter much anymore, but LT1's just don't sell for much anymore when the price of an ls1 is only 2 or 3k more than the cleanest lt1

check forums and autotrader are your best gauge of what you can get for your car. remember, theres always a guy out there that doesnt know the value of your car and if he gets hooked on your car in particular will pay a ridiculous amount for it. throw a for sale sign on there with a high price and hope for the best.
in any event, id say about 6k

I'm guessing you could get close to $8k for it if you found the right buyer. There aren't very many clean, low mileage 96/97 SS cars on the market, so if you can find someone that wants one, you'll be all set.

40K in a year or so on the car? Thats going to hurt. The market is very soft for Fbodies. 6K max for it is my best bet. You can get 95-97 LT1 cars for 3500 now.

no, he said he bought it for $10,500, not that it had 10,500 miles on it

Agreed. Id say around $8,000... maybe more if you can get a spoiled high school brat to buy it

I'd say somewhere around $8500-9000. 96-97 SS cars hold their value pretty well but won't bring much more than that because you can find LS1 cars in the $8000 on up range. I sold my 96 SS this summer for $8000 with 87K miles and a spare transmission.
