Question need opinions on hood paint scheme

i have a 98 z28 camaro, its torch red and i have a SLP Ultra Z hood for it. its not painted and i dont plan on driving it much until its painted. i was just curious as to how i should have it painted..... just pure red? black stripes down the car from the intake back? hockey stripes? lemme know. all opinions welcome!

I've always been a fan of those "black-bird" stripes. they are usually black, and run along the cowl sides of the hood. That would look pretty cool on the sides of a red painted hood!

make sure you drive the car for at least 2 weeks with the hood on so that they gel coat can settle in from the engine heat or your asken for trouble if you paint it with out doing that... with that said i just did the blackbird stripes on my ws6 style hood on my lt1 formy... looks good... but im looken at your pics itmight look cool if you paint the whole scoop black like they do with the SS hoods ya know then get some decals for the sides of the scoop to break the stripe up al little bit... thats all i can really come up with for you besides just staight red.... good luck man....

jsut a thought, hav eyou ever considered painting the hood red, and filling in the recess down the top, and the sides in black? maybe do a negative cut out of the black of "Z28" or "LS1"
i think it would be a clean, simple, unique look.
i wish i didn't stick at photochop or i woudl try to show you what i mean. anyone can help?
