Woo Hoo! Just picked up a 4th gen...

My little brother and I just finished an hour-and-a-half drive up from Millville to pick up my '93 Z28. This baby handles like a dream and, despite the fact that it's a 4sp-auto, the RPM's stayed at a comfortable 1800 at 65 MPH. I needed a new daily driver and I couldn't pass it up. It's got 145k on the body and about 60k on the engine (LT1 out of a '94). Now hopefully I won't get too sidetracked from my '81 project. Here's a few pics (it's a little icy and covered in road salt but it's all I got so far).

Nice one, I have a 96 Z28 Auto. I was a GM tech on and off for nearly 25 yrs. I looked for one with an auto trans for a while. I was tired of fixing stick units under warranty so knowing myself I would have Grenaded a stick unit in no time. As far as the handeling they are awesome. I have blown by Corvettes on Highway entrance ramps doing 70 to 75 without touching the brakes. You will love it.

That's looks to be a good DD. But watch out, you're gonna want to mod it and that will take time and $$ away from your real project. As for a 4th gen DD, I drive my 00 beater to work every day.

Nice find! I'm sure it'll clean up nicely once this weather clears up! I daily drove my Z28 for a little more then 2 years with-out any major problems. Congrats though. Want a cut-out for that too?
