No Title....

Ugh....So today is exactly 1 month that my car has been paid for....I had to pay off the guys loan that I bought it from. I was told in FL that if I had a letter from the loan company stating that the car was sold to me and the title was in transit that I could get a 30 day tag. The loan company told me 8-10 business days for the to FAX me something! He let me use his plates to get back to NJ from FL while I waited for the title. I was told it takes up to 30 days. I have called 15 times in the past 30 days and I keep getting the same rude people telling me it hasnt been sent yet. No reason on why or when. I ask for a supervisor...they say that they dont have one Finally I got to a lady today that tells me that a service request form was suppose to be filled out on March 16th by someone in their office to send it...IT WAS NEVER DONE!!!!! She filled it out for me and said she wasnt surprised that it wasnt done....real nice huh? So according to her it should be out this week...I am keeping my fingers crossed...I just wanna drive the damn car!!!

I guess that's probably the only bad thing when dealing with a private seller who doesn't have the car paid off yet. Good luck. Hopefully, you can get that title so you can get it dynoed at HSW on 4/29.

any place that takes 6 weeks to mail out a title needs to have everyone fired and shot for being so stupid/lazy

Hey bro Just kidding no flaming please

Anyways sorry to hear about the title. I really hope it all works out for you.

I would call them every 5 minutes on auto dial until they get tired of it. Maybe then they would get the hint.

I did it when I lost $260 to a telemarketing scam and got the money back through BBB and got it back again when I filed a fraud complaint with my bank.

Hey, maybe you can trailer the car with your Trailblazer and bring it to the HSW dyno day?

When I paid off loans early to sell a car it usually took 6-8 weeks to get the title so that's not out of the ordinary. The fact that someone didn't start the paperwork is so that part sucks.

As Jeff stated...

6-8 weeks on an early pay-off title turn-around is not unheard of; same thing happend to me...unfortunately in your case it just sounds like someone is not being productive at their job...hopefully all will work out for you soon...remember the squeeky wheel gets the grease theory, keep calling!...good luck

So if things go the way they are SUPPOSE to...my title should be sent out by Friday April 27th. That is exactly 30 business days. If not then i will file with the BBB. Hopefully it gets out...I dont feel like dealing with any more issues.
