What rockers?
My machinist used different springs that I gave him, but they are rated at more lift, should I step up to 1.6 roller rockers? i didnt purchase any rockers yet. Whats the info on piston to valve?

p/v should be checked any time you change heads, cam, or valvetrain parts...sometimes one combo works for one person and doesnt work for the next.

What do you mean "they are rated at more lift?" Higher spring pressure? Higher installed height? In either case I would stick with the stock ratio rockers. You could run into a lot of problems including retainer/seal clearance, piston/valve clearance and pushrod hole clearance. Keep it simple.

If you want a nice set of rockers, just stick with a 1.5:1 or 1.52:1 set of roller rockers.

there are many other things you need to check before you rtun those rockers like the installed hight of the spring and your valve guid height!

when they say rated for more lift it refers to cam lift. they are higher load springs. you don't have to upgrade if you don't want to.

true, BUT by using 1.6 ratio rockers say over 1.5 ratio, it makes the valve open more as if the cam had a larger lift. so you get more lift out of a given cam by larger ratio rockers.

Matt, getting back to your question, the only way to know for sure is to test the clearance with clay. Also, find out what adding more lift will do to your performance before getting the 1.6's. If anything, I would only run the higher ratio rockers on the exhaust side only to even out the I/E flow ratio. Bigger is not always better, and in your case I'll refer to my first post: Keep it simple.
