Senate E85 Bill

i read on some website for E85 that the senate is considering a bill to fund E85. i'd love to see more e85 stations in our areas and i'm sure many of you would as well. so i signed my name to be put on a petition of some sort to support said bill. i figured it wouldn't hurt. heres the link, even if you don't sign the bill thingy, at least peruse.

I'm already using E85 compatible fuel lines on my build, in the hopes a bill like this would pass

Thumbs up

Being the shareholder of an ethanol stock (Xethanol Corp - XNL), I signed it for sure!

Same here. I've been seeing the cars, but what good are they if you can't find a station that has the E85? I think we'll definitely be seeing stations adding pumps for it.

i heard E85 is much cheaper than gasoline, but the car does consume more of it, so i don't know what the financial gain will be, if any. but it is environmentally sound.

i've heard that in the past as well and read the consumer reports article but haven't done any research on it to really form an opinion. i wouldn't be surprised if that was the case though.

Can all cars use it or only new cars designed for it?

Ultimately I would think they could use ethanol to run the ethanol plants that produce it so it wouldn't use more fossil fuel to make it.
As for burning more of it than conventional fuel to get the vehicle down the road? Well, would you rather drink 5 gallons of water or only 2 gallons of toxic waste? LOL
