Looking for a good used car under $3000

A friend of my son's is looking for a good car under $3000. I really like the f-body so I was thinking about a early 90's Camaro. He doesnt work on cars. Would this be a good car to look at for him? What do you guys think?

Squirrel, sweet TA.

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone. Dont know what direction he'll go in. He will also be looking at local folks (I have a friend who deals used cars).

As a side note, I was in the Pontiac dealer getting my car worked on. I have to say what a nice lineup of cars between Pontiac and GMC. I really liked the Acadia.
