Pin-on or hinge hood?

I need to buy a cowl hood for the RS conversion and I don't have any experience with pin-on hoods. I was wondering how people that have them like'em. I know they're lighter, but are they really that big of a hassel? Are they significantly weaker than hinged hoods?

they are not a problem unless it is windy out really. mostly it is just the inconvenience of having to pull it on and off by yourself most of the time compared to just lifting it up on the hinges that is the pain in the butt.
