BANG!
So after pouring 5 months worth of blood, sweat, tears and MONEY into the 89RS converting it from 2.8L to 5.7L carb i get it on the road 3 weeks ago just to get t-boned by an E-350 van blowing a stop sign today on. the passenger side fender, door, quarter panel, windsheild and a-pillar are all crushed which will probably mean that the insurance company (appraising it as a 153,000 mile 89 RS) will total it.
this is my luck:
built 77 vette, drove it 9 months, hit by harley, totalled
bought 93 cavy, drove it 3 years (while away at college), sold it running great
built 89 RS, drove it 3 weeks, hit by van, probably totalled
i've been in 2 accidents since getting my license. 100% the other person's fault each time, but no one wants to hit the junk cars, they only hit the important/expensive ones....WHY?!?!
If they do total the maro i'm really at the point where i'm gonna go finance a 4th gen ws6 and forget about doing anything but basic bolt ons. i cant take spending 100's of hours and thousands of dollars on another project just to let some other f*cktard on the road ruin it.
anyone got any good connects at a dealership?

lol, no way in hell is that motor comin apart...unless i sell every single part to several different people who'd wanna do the wrenchin themselves. in reality, if it doesn't go with the rest of the car it'll come out and go whole.
besides, and there's nothing wrong with the intake u have. hasn't even been touched in 3 or 4 years and i believe we switched in the first place cuz ur's wouldn't fit ur l98's.

It fit fine, we had already drilled it out and everything. And I paid to have the intake that's on your motor port matched to the L98s
If you aren't gonna use it, I'm taking it back.

ah, right. forgot it wasn't 'supposed' to fit those heads, lol. still gotta see what happens with the car. enterprise rental is self insured obviously and of course they're draggin their feet. we'll see on monday or tuesday when they finally send an adjuster out.
if it's totalled i'll help u switch the intakes again.
