Submit your entries for Decembers "Pic of the Month" here...
Alright fellas (and ladies), post up your entries for Decembers "Pic of the Month" here.
Here are the rules;
Post up a pic of a car you want to enter the monthly "Pic of the Month" contest. Each member is allowed 1 (AND ONLY ONE) pic per month. Photo's don't have to be of their car, they can be anyones car they choose to pick. The photo can be photoshopped, or just posted up in its raw original form. Once the end of the month has come, 3 finalists will be chosen (by me for now) and there will be a poll for everyone to vote for their favorite. Once the poll has been closed, the poll will decide the winner.
Enjoy! And post away!

Where is a somewhat high quality place to upload the photos to? Photobucket butchers the quality and size, fquick is also a little small but quality is slightly better.

Personally, I like www.tinypic.com ; as their quality is good. Sometimes the pics I take are very large as they come from my top dollar digital SLR camera, and tinypic makes them look big, but I can just go to windows paint and shrink them down to size.

My least favorite has definatly got to be the convienient shot of the car in the driveway. (Come on people, at least take your car somewhere decent to take pictures of it )
Either way, I can't tell people "how" to take good pictures, just like I can't make a rule not to submit them for "Pic of the Month". Sorry Alex, but any pic of a car can be posted no matter how bad it may look to you or I.

Haha its all good I understand. It was worth a shot. Thats one of my biggest pet peeves is driveway and parking lots with cars scattered in the background.
(I'm guilty of the driveway shots, but I never play them off as my "official pictures")

The key is in three things really (none of which is having to have an F-body). 1st, you need a very clean ride. Scratches dents, inperfections in any way will make a big difference. 2nd is you need a car that sets itself apart from other cars like it. If someone posts up a stock V6 Camaro with nothing done, chances are the other picture of the guy with another V6 camaro lowered and on some sweet wheels other than the stockers is going to look better. The 3rd and probably most important thing is knowing how to take good pictures. If you snap off a few in a parking lot or in your driveway because its "convienient" then its not really going to be as good as say a picture of your car on the edge of a cliff in the mountains with the sun rising behind it. Granted that may be hard to get a picture of, but the point is you are making an effort to try to get a good picture, not a convienient one.
BTW, I am not biased towards any kind of car when picking the finalists. As much as I hate Fords, someone could have a sweet mustang picture, and if its a better car picture than the others, it will be one of my chosen finalists from which everyone picks the winner.

I still like this one. I had to link it as a URL because Comcast is still messed up with hot linking pictures so you have to click.
