lt1 cam in an lb9?

Ive been talkin about it since I got my car and this winter I have the money and the know how. How much hp is it tho? And after lots of research I cant find out what all I have to change. I wana throw in a 92-94 lt1 cam, and lt1 springs. Im told it wouldnt hurt to change to 1.6 roller rockers, but thats later down the line. Any feed back on this subject? Has anyone actually put an lt1 cam in a 305tpi car? Any help will be appreciated. thanks again.

No, but shoved one into a LO3 car. H/P ... dunno, but its a improvement. Change your cam and springs. And all the other stuff while your at it. IE, Timing Chain and all gaskets. Don't forget to grind that dowel pin down.

I really don't know if you will have the clearance for 1.6's. You probably do, someone will probably chime in and help me out.

if you are considering the LT1 cam + rockers i woudl suggest jsut looking for a stock LT4 cam since the resulting specs woudl be about the same. higher ratio rockers put a bunch of extra strain on the rocker studs and shorten the service life.
i don't know if anyone has done a side by side dyno comparison of stock vs LT1 cam, but it should be a sizable improvement over stock.
