DHL mightve finally found my transmission!

after the BBB got a hold of them, they called me within a week to let me know that they found something. it was in a "blue tote" and there was a transmission in it with a DEXRON III sticker on the side. im like holy crap, T56's have that sticker! then she sent me a pic of it, im 95% sure at this point that it is mine. the autotech sport tuning cardboard packing threw me off for a second, but then i realized i let my friend work on his Vdub at my house, coil overs, exhaust, etc etc. and i told him to give me the cardboard boxes. it all makes sense now. maybe i will have it before xmas.

This will be up for sale as well, once i actually recieve it i will add to the classifieds

Nice!

I DHL guy came into my office yesterday and dropped off a package for the building across the street. No signature, no nothing. Drop and bolt, as it were.

DHL sucks. I ordered all my Christmas gifts last Monday (12/10) online from various stores. Everything has come except 1 package from MLB.com that's going through DHL.

Good to hear Ron!

Sucks that you have already sold so much stuff, you could have just stuffed the trans in the car and gone even quicker.

its gonna get uglier yet...

apparently, somebody else claimed it... Im willing to bet 100.00 that this is mine.

reason 1- i used a blue box to ship it in and lots of cardboard packing

reason 2- That autotech carboard box was from my friend. he ordered Vdub parts right before i shipped the trans out and i used his cardboard box for
packing material

reason 3- look at the fresh rtv in the pic. it was just recently rebuilt and somewhat clean.

If i get a hold of my transmission guy, he could tell me what carboard was used to pack around it hopefully..

what are the odds of that?

apparently the autotech cardboard box still had a ups shipping label on it, if they jotted down the tracking number that was on it, i could prove beyond all doubt that this is MINE! because my friend lives 5 mins from me and had it shipped to his house. and he could give me all of his information. and whoever claimed it is stealing and thats gonna be bad for them.

I bet it's a friend of somebody that works at DHL that claimed it. This is so ridiculous that they are jerking you around like this. You may need to hire a private detective in that area to go down and look at it to try help verify it's yours.
