wheres califon NJ? 305s can be built to get 400hp easily. look at trans am racing. 5.0L limit, and theyre all pushing 500-600hp easy. no torque im sure, but anyone can build a 305 to spin to 7K and make alot of power. im not saying this is 100% true, but its definetly possible. not too bad of a price for the motor and car, if you wanted a project.

Yeah, but (if we are talking about late 60s) those old 302s are long stroke rockets, not the 305 we know and do not love. TPIs dont rev past 5k.

Sure it is possible, but in reality it is probably BS.

Hell yeah, if I was looking for a 3rd gen I'd go look - it's all ready for an LS motor!

anything can be made fast if you put enough money into it. again, im not defending this particular guy, but playing devils advocate, the motor looks like its been worked over.....so for all we know, it could be completely forged, new pistons, heads, nasty cam, 12:1+ compression, etc.
