Jeep people...

My brothers got a jeep. a 91? Cherokee, i think lol. It looks like Ians and melissas. I only say im not sure since i only saw it once since hes owned it and it was at night. anyway he called me yesterday and said one of his lights came on the dash that says "GEN". any ideas?

GEN = Generator = most likely a slipping belt....Cherokee's are known for that. If it's not the belt, get the alternator tested. They are mounted low on the engine, so they are more exposed to the elements than other accessories.
