Stock Motor Mounts
I'm replacing my mm. I'm using stock instead of urathane. I don't want to feel the extra vibration from the engine nor am I building a torque monster. How difficult is it to do?

The hardest part is the nuts inside the frame. They probably are not tacked to the frame (they weren't in my 3rd gen). I never did mounts with the suspension together, so I don’t know how accessible they are, but guys with 2nd gens pull it off with extensions, swivels and even distributor wrenches. The wheels need to be off. Plus you have to lift the engine off the mounts.

getting the bolts out with the suspension assembled is a real PITA, but possible, i did it, 2 guys, 2 hours, with the engine out. The poly mounts really dont vibrate that much.

Tim and I swapped mine pretty easily with the engine out but the suspension fully assembled.
I would also recommend poly.

You can get them at the local auto parts store. They fit a trillion different cars. 2nd gens, for instance.

Got em in! (Energy susp.) Just a slight and I mean very slight engine vibration felt at idle. Now for the SLP's and cat! I should have almost everything ready by spring!!

thought you were going with stock rubber replacements and not the energy suspension. Notice the motor raise up any?
Did you already order the SLP headers?

I took "smokinSS" advice. He was right. Didn't really notice a difference in engine height. Although I should have measured it before I replaced them. The original mounts o were soft and one was compressed pretty bad. I ordered Dyno Don's SLP upgraded headers. He is waiting for them to come back from the coaters.

oh alright.
And they are not upgraded SLP's, they are Dyno Don's own design all together that look like the SLP's. He just gave more clearance where you could use it. They are nice looking headers.
