Depends where you go.... That **** would NEVER fly where I bartend...
Theres lots of things people dont know about the service industry, as reflected by their tips. The people I hate the most though are the people that act like its easy and that ANYONE can do it and that we're never busy, we're just ignoring you when we cant get to you as soon as you snap your fingers. Right.....we're not making drinks for everyone at the bar PLUS the 250+ people in the resturant. Their drinks magically appear at their table. Oh and we also dont do other things like handle to-go orders, handling transactions for the serve staff, cleaning EVERYTHING, get change for the whole resturant, cut garnishes, make juices, purees, sour mixes, bloody mary mixes, simple syrups and the COUNTLESS other things needed to be done to prepare for the next shift. We just like ignoring you and losing your tip so that we only make $2.13 an hour. Yes thats right. $2.13 is what 99% of places pay their bartenders / servers because thats the tipped employee's minimum wage.
Anyway.... rant off I guess.... sorry..... got a little carried away.
