Angry Road Rage, or Self Defense?

OK, letz say you are out driving, minding your own bidness, basically obeying the traffic laws, ansd someone puts you and/or your vehicle in
jeopardy by blatantly cutting you off, passing on the sholder, tailgating, etc. Anywho, you meet the jerk at the next light, and you get out to settle some business. So, you smash their window in, flatten their tire, rip off a wiper arm, etc. Should this be considered Road Rage, or Self Defense?

Roadrage, while the other person is obviously a moron & does not know how to drive, there needs to be a point where you just let it go if you didn't get into an accident, injured, etc.

I've read about incidents where people have shot other people in these cases, I mean your talking about bashing in a windshield but if you had a gun under your seat who's to say that wouldn't be the step taken.

Also if someone takes a swing at you, they miss, you hit them and then start kicking them while they are down & you break their neck or something is that considered self defense? Its not a line I'd try to cross in front of a jury thats for sure.

Just let it go...

-Bill

and if you kick someone while they're down and they get seriously injured, you'd better have a damned good lawyer!

Bob, did you have a bad day? I'd say road rage, but if it takes something like that to convince the other person he is driving like a complete moron and to change his habbits, then self defense lol.

Road rage, you were no longer in danger by sitting at the red light, the incident was over.

I'd say road rage... BUT, if he was to provoke an altercation at the light then it would be self defense...

im gonna say road rage on that scenario but if he bumped you and kept going then its game on. Pull some COPS stuff, a nice pick maneuver or maybe get him loose nascar style( maybe shake n bakes slingshot maneuver haha) then pull him out of his car and proceed to let him know he picked the wrong day to shave a few seconds off his travel.....theoretically speaking of course

I would say it was road rage..I was doing speed limit one day and there was a guy behind me and I wasn't going fast enuff for him. Well he pulled up beside me at a light and started to tell me he would shot me and this and that. Well then he ran me off the road. Well I seen him at another light a day or so after..And I pulled out my bat and I beat the flok out of his truck.. Well he got out yelling at me and I rasied my bat and told him to shut up.. Then I told him to learn how to drive. Then I got back into my car and drove off.. Haha , should have let it go but I didn't...

That's PIT maneuver...as in, Precision Immobilization Technique. Sorry, couldn't resist.

If this was a serious question, I'd say, "That, sir, is road rage, and it cannot be condoned! It is a serious problem throughout the nation, and it is best to just 'turn the other cheek' and go on your merry way. Besides, you never know if the guy has a gun/knife/angry badger in the car!"

But since it's most likely NOT a serious question, I say don't take it out on the car. Yank the AY-Hole out of the car through the vent window and take him down to Chinatown UBG style!
