How long do you take to wax your Car///
Well today was a nice day, So I decided its time to dust off the ol' cans of Meguires tech wax, and Zymol, and shine my baby up. I started at 12, and got done around 3. I have a buffer, but I like doing it by hand, even if it doesnt come out as shiny and professional as the buffer. So I had fun for 4 hours, but I gotta ask, how long do you guys take in waxing your cars, and also with what?

I get 3 hours doing your math buddy, dunno how you got 4 there Jeff
I never really timed how long it takes. My guess would be for just exterior paint/trim/wheels/tires about 1.5 hours. Depends how many times I go over it though. I've used lots of stuff, everything from California Gold, to NXT Tech Wax, to Meguiar's gold Class, to Formula 113. I picked up some Zymol but haven't used it yet.

Oh I forgot to add the wheels in it haha, but yeah it was 4 hours. I stared at 11 after I got home from easter breakfast on my rims, but the body I started at 12 I was stupid and I forgot to have my camera with me, cause as soon as I got done, I cruised and I saw some good spots, oh well. I love the NXT tech wax, ever since the first time I used it, I've never gone back to anyhting else. Now today, since I havent put a coat on it since the September meet ( which was also my birthday, and I started at 5:00 A.M.!!!) I took my old can of NXT wax and mixed it with my zymol, worked so well, I think I will do that for now on, NXT and Zymol mixed.

Not sure how much time it takes, but usually around 3-4 pints of microbrew before I'm done. I don't have a buffer so it's a nice bit of exercise doing it by hand.

Almost ANY quality wax will work "IF" you do it OFTEN enough. By that I mean you need to redo it once a month, more often in the summer. Also the more often you do it, the easier it will be to apply and take off. What gives your car that JUST WAXED LOOK, are the oils that are in the wax. If you apply wax to your car and don't take it off right away, can you go back to it and before you wipe it off, still smear it around with your finger? If so, you have a high quality wax, but if it turns white and comes right off with a single wipe, what you have is garbage that will wash off in about 2 weeks.

I have a buffer but prefer not to use it, as it's near impossible for it to work right on teh curvyness of the cars minus say the hood. More trouble than it's worth half of the time I think. Besides, a little elbow grease never hurt anyone
I wax my rides as often as possible. Camaro gets it pretty much before and after it goes out, and sometimes just to clean it on a nice day when I'm not taking it out. Explorer gets it more often since it goes out every day. In the summer it's like once a week, and the off season at least once a month for Big Red (Explorer)

Honestly, it can take me an entire day but I rarely rush the process. The wheels will come off the car and get their own special attention. The paint will take a good deal of time depending on how good it looks. If I'm on the clock, then I can get a full detail going in usually about 3-4 hrs. It just depends on what I plan on doing and how much use the car has had.

About 3 hours on my WS6 with wax, not including the wash, polishing the wheels, cleaning the engine, and cleaning my interrior. My car usually takes 5 hours of my time inside and out. But I enjoy doing it so time doesn't bother me.

Usually takes me 2-3 hrs for the meguires 3 step deal. But usually about 8 hrs or so start to finish with a full clean on the car inside and out.
