Local GTO (GONE) meet....interesting ending - Vid

Decided to go to a local car show today right off of Rt 1 and Rt 18 at the On the Border. The show was well done I had a great time and took home TWO trophies....more on that in another thread. Apparently at the end, everyone likes to do a burnout as they leave the parking lot onto route 1. I did not see this in person but this sums it up.

1 - GTO spins tires and wildy fishtails clipping a taxi.
2 - GTO does a massive burnout and stops traffic on Rt 1 since no one can see.
3 - Vette driver takes off and does a 360 in the middle of the road - No damage except for ego.

These individuals really don't represent the group and the organizers were not pleased in the least since they explicitly told everyone no burnouts or horsing around.

On with the vid.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like he kept running or went far enough away so no one would see him trying to sort it out with the other car he hit.

There's a couple of good reasons why people shouldn't act like jerks to try and impress their friends / forum members.

can't wait to see that on my way to work tomorrow. I'd figure people would have more sense than to even attempt that sort of stuff on a busy road, let alone a highway.

And I guess some people just can't handle that much car.

Wow, some of those guys did dumb stuff like that when they had the show at Hooters last year. What makes people think pulling out into 60mph traffic and losing control is a good idea? I don't think I need to worry about going to any of their future events. Too much stupidity in that group!

Angry COOL VIDEO-NOT IF YOU HAVE HALF A BRAIN!

THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT A COUPLE OF COMPLETE ASSHOLDS DUE TO RUIN IT FOR MOST OF US. If you think that was cool, you're as STUPID as they are. Just look at the picture of BUBBA and what happened to him and his car. In the first vid, the MORON almost took out his car and an INNOCENT other car. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU! STILL FUNNY? How about the person with the burnout. I'ed like to STRANGLE him and make him eat his keys after that STUNT. JUST PICTURE THE CARNAGE AND PILEUPS THAT HE COULD HAVE CAUSED. WHAT IF YOUR GIRLFRIEND OR PARENTS WERE IN THE CAR THAT GOT TOTALED AND THEY WERE KILLED BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T SEE THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM! STILL FUNNY? And the last PIECE OF CRAP was just plain lucky. ALL these prove is that it is more important to impress a crowd with how LITTLE you care about human life then it is to show off on a RACE track where IF you have the skill, PROVE IT!

+1 to ed pontiac.

yeah im 19 and yeah ill admit ive done some dumb things in my cars but common...doing something to lose control on a 60+ mph highway? doing a huge burnout to blind everyone in that traffic? im 19 and i know way better not to do anything like that.

and btw i pull onto that highway from there to get my haircut once a month and its hard enough pulling out with control of your car in the first place

I've met a couple of GONE members at local cruises here, some are pretty nice, others want nothing to do with you sometimes. Lotta real winners in that video. As much as I like seeing that stuff, Rt.1 is def not the place to be doing it.

The people that were screwing around are not representative of the group. Apologizes are going out and people make mistakes....this just happened to be on video. The show overall was great and really well put together. I hope they are able to have another.

Wonder why

Thats funny then we all wonder why places dont want to open up their parking lots to cruise nights after something like that happens.
