My New Car
Hey guys, as most of you know, I sold my '83 Z28 and was in search of my new baby since the guy sold the bronco. I said I didn't know when I was going to get another camaro or even a chevelle. Well the day has come, I'd like to introduce you all to Ruby, the new love of my life, ha ha. She is an 1985 Camaro Z28. Her body has 175,000 miles, but she has a brand new motor and trans each w/ less than 1200 miles on them. The motor is a 350 bored .30 over to a 355. The trans is a custom built 700r4. The intake and carb are Edelbrock rpm and the exhaust is flowmaster from the cat back. Has Edelbrock Valve Covers. The headers are SLP and she has a new battery as well as a Pioneer CD Player. The interior is black and is in amazing shape, interior came out of a 3rd gen firebird. The paint job is good except for a few scratches here and there. She has a posi rear and wheels are from a 1991 Z28 that are in great shape. The guy I bought it from is 27, he had the car since he was 16, built the motor himself. I'm so happy to have another camaro, wanted that way more than a bronco. When winter comes, I'll pick up a cheap bronco or blazer to get by. Ruby is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures don't do justice for how good she really looks, the motor shines and her outside is just as crisp and clean as well as the interior. Just wanted to introduce you all to my girl that I love w/ all my heart, ha ha. -Jeff

I love them to. You'll never guess, I got Ruby for $2,000, the guy had a few more cars that he wanted to put in his garage, leaving him no more room for Ruby. He was asking $2250 for her, but I talked him down to $1,800, but we agreed on $2,000 since he was transporting it for me. I live in Lyndhurst near Giants Stadium, he lives in Toms River. She hasn't been on the road in 5 or 6 years as he has a few other cars.. He put the motor in, drove her for a while then kept her in the garage, and just started her up and backed her out once a week. She runs good too. The guy saw my '83 because JerzyIroc picked it up yesterday and I got Ruby on Saturday. The funny thing was is that he saw my '83 which I sold for $1,600 to JerzyIroc, and most of you know my '83, Jenny, had a rod knock, the guy looked like he wanted to cry because he realized he just let a $4-5,000 car go for $2,000. As for the plans, the motor and trans I'm not going to touch because they are already done. I also have a nice race steering wheel. I'm going to dress her up w/ gauges and a tach. I'm also going to get some chrome rims, maybe Cragar SS's, put a different Flowmaster on, she is really loud, but I have a Flowmaster Outlaw Series Race Muffler w/ no chambers that I might put on, she is an automatic, so I think I'm going to get Quarter-Stick to replace the stock automatic shifter, and possibly HIDs. Going to keep her the way I got her pretty much except for those few things. -Jeff.

Ha ha, I'll treat her good, the motor still needs breaking in time, so no revving or anything, just going to cruise. I've been wiping the bird crap off twice day. I think my neighbor caught me making out w/ my car last night, ha ha ha.

I'm gonna try to get bigger pictures, if anyone has a cell phone, I can send them pictures from my phone that maybe they can put on the computer for me to post. I still live in the stone age as I still use dispoable cameras and don't have a scanner. Juan(UserName), we need to go to Hooters again for another cruise, that was a lot of fun. -Jeff.

Thanks, I usually go to WildWood the first two weeks of August w/ my family, not sure if I'll bring Ruby down there because of the cops, but if I do, it'd be nice to meet up and cruise together because your in Atlantic City.
