Burning up that far before the line, I doubt it was nitrous related.

NOSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!
nitrous doesnt burn though. it supplies lots of oxygen to help the fuel burn better.

While that may be true it can form an explosive mixture with air.

Some people dont know how to use nitrous. Spray it a million times prior to launch, then hit the throttle, goes boom.

exactly, i was thinking of this video, then magically, it was on the related list. apparently charlie's gotten some fame, as this video has 12,000 views.
anyhow, wanna know a big problem with keyless starts? if your car catches on fire, and you run away with the key in your pocket, the firemen can't open the hood to put it out. bye bye brand new vette.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1cPu...eature=related
EDIT, this video doesn't show any more. the fire started back up, and the car pretty much burned to the ground.

I was standing in front of the concession stand it it was nasty to say the least. I've seen a lot of nitrous backfires, but he must have squeezed the whole bottle before hitting the throttle.
