My American Sunday!

Had one hell of a birthday weekend! Worked Saturday morning, went riding in the afternoon, played softball, took a nap, went out to party with my friends. Then today (Sunday) I went to visit my cousin who lives up in Port Jervis NY, by the tri-borders of NY, NJ & PA. I loaded up my truck with my bike & two of my rifles and set off for one awesome autumn day! We started the day off with a motorcycle ride through the Hawks Nest (beautiful) and put 150 miles on the bike and as always brought my camera along!

My cousin Warren

Let the shooshting begin!

(I need to work on my grouping)

Just found this funny but I found this old picture of my dad Circa 1980 shooting in the same location and the same gun!

Enjoy!

My two rifles were the Savage Arms 12-Guage pump on the Right (shooting 3" slugs & trap shot) with the Marlin .22lr. My cousin brought his S&W .357 Revolver not sure which model but we were shooting .38 & .357, the black pistol was a Springfield XD in 9mm (absolute dream to shoot), he had a Springfield 30.06 Hunting Rifle & an older Benelli over under shotgun.

The XD was an incredible pistol, with a 10 round Mag it was very light and easy to handle. The grip was the perfect size for me and the recoil was very minimal. Its been bumped to my top list of pistols to search for when I get my pistol permit next month.

I'll def let you know! Hopefully in 2 weeks I can bring more people up. I can't decide between the Walter P99, Sig226, Glock 22, Browning Hi-Power & CZ75

i had a xd 9 at one point but mine was ported, thing shot like a 25 acp, if you get one id get the ported model. Only downside to the ported model was that the front white dot would get dirty cause of the gasses being vented up. I ended up selling that for something else.
