wanted to share a story

This just happened, I wasn't gonna post it but i'm bored and so are you guys for reading this so why not. I live atop a steep hill (miller road for anyone familiar with Mahwah) and i was cruising up it at legal speeds because it is hilly and a car pulling out of a driveway could kill you. anyway, i'm driving up the road and i notice something funny in the distance, a tree was down. so like the good citizen i call the cops and tell him its in a very dangerous area because it is right past a little dip and a speeder could hit it. he advises me to get out of there and that a cop is en route so i put on my hazards get out of my car and begin to move some debris so i could go around it. so of course a SUV comes flying down teh hill, i jump in front of the tree and wave my hands frantically, no dice. this guy is hauling ass down at the fallen tree and my car (camaro) is right behind it. he doesn't even slow down so i dive out of the road and my man slams this log at maybe 60mph with his Nissan Murano. i get up and notice his car is filled with white powder, airbags deployed and his wife is in pain but not enough for a ambulance. i ask him why he didn't slow down and he said my headlights were blinding him and that he wasn't looking straight ahead. he admits to speeding but he usually doesn't speed on this road. i tell him the cops are already on teh way and begin inspecting my car, miraculously, nothing i could see in teh dark. the log swung in a way that it just missed my car. anyways the cop shows up, asks me if i struck the thing and sends me on my merry way. i was quite shooken up to say the least but i sure am thankful my car faired better than his.

cliff notes:

tree fell on a hill.
i pulled over ot move debris so i could go around it
car flies down hill and hits tree after i try to stop him
guys car gets messed up, mine comes out unscathed
old people drive like idiots and people with sports cars are responsible
the end

honestly, i don't. my friend used to live on that hill and i know how hard it is to back out of his driveway with people speeding up and down it. thats why i take it easy on hills like that.

i am glad to hear that someone else stops to do the right thing. i try as much as i can to secure recycling and sometimes garbage cans that are blowing around in the road. it just isn't safe. i saw a guy absolutely crush a plastic chair that some kids put in the middle of the road. i picked up the pieces. its really not cool.
