I love the side by side pictures. Looks like Bruce Bannon turning into the Hulk!
The ZR1's looks so evil. The larger fender vents, the massive wheels and brakes, air splitters in the front...makes the Z51 look kinda...lame?
I hope that the C7 carries on the tradition of this 3 punch combo. Base model with slight suspesion upgrade, a big cube n/a monster, and a supercar.

I must admit that I do have one negative thing to say about the ZR1, can we lose that f'ing window on the hood please. It isn't like you get to stare down and a sexy Ferrari V12 or anything cool like that, it just shows the f'ing engine cover. Either show the motor or show me the other few ounces of paint.
I also think it would be nice if the Zr1 vents, maybe is a smaller version, appeared on the Z51 and Z06. Those flat panels just look silly in comparison.

Yeah that's the intercooler. The hood window is still gay. It's tacky IMO...and it really takes away from an otherwise almost flawless looking car.

Its very very tacky. I would have liked to see them do like they did for the 2003 Z06 and have some exposed carbon fiber or lines. It would go well with the rest of the exposed carbon fiber.
And yes, that is the intercooler you look at, but there is a plastic shroud that goes around it that is also visable.

I oddly like the 'window'. It's like looking at the steak in the fridge case when you walk into Mortons.

Ahahaha...well, if you put it that way.
Id say leave the "engine under glass" look for mid engine, hand crafted V12's that have lovely displays of aluminum and carbon fiber that make up the intake ducts.

The engine window is a direct ripoff of the Ferrari 360. But they ripped off the headlights from the 575M too so why stop there I guess

2nd gens design was influenced by european car design. Hell, the nose on a lot of benzs look like 2nd gens to me.

Early 2nd gens as well as third gens were influenced by Italian design. Looking at like a 275 GTB, you can see that long nose, short deck look with sloped rear glass in the back.
Third gens and the Testarosa also cary that angular design, but carry teh same long nose short deck look like a third gen.
4th gens? Uhh...dustbuster's were big and apparently the influence for several GM vehicles like the Minivans.
I kinda wish the 5th gen was a mixture of the Ferrari 612, Aston's DB9, with a dash of Corvette. It took all that, and jammed it into a first gen bag. Muscular bulging hips from the Aston, low and wide 2+2 stance of teh 612, and Corvette's angular design along with tail light design and powertrain.

Split bumpers are RS cars. They can be SS's, Z28's, or just an RS package on base Camaro.
Second...eh, stretching it a bit, but I guess.
