why LS1? if you want to get into the 9's on spray, just use a 302 or 351.. you're overthinking this way too much.. you're the kind of guy who would buy twin 67mm turbochargers to run mid 12's aren't you lol
you're talking through your ass. there's plenty of cam only LS1s that will smoke your modded 5.0 "

yeah same here, a chevy powered fox is a pretty neat swap. even LS1 powered RX7s are pretty damn neat, not just bcause it's a mix of companies, but it shows customization and creativeness all in one. those look much better than having mommy or daddy buying the car and you bragging about it. grow some balls, fabricate some mounts and do the swap. THEN go bragging. but yeah, the swap is a neat one.

"There is nothing magical about the LS1, it is just an engine like any other."
+1 for mustang owners. Fear the LT1

This is an in-car view of a run with nitrous in "The Orphan", a Popular Hot Rodding Magazine project vehicle. Went 10.73 at 132 mph. Traction was limited, as you can see.

my full bolt-on and cammed LT1 is almost as fast as my LS1 with a catback.
