Exclamation 1991 FIREBIRD BANDIT II on eBay/ 1 of 600 WHOOPIE

Just take a look at this "Special Edition Bandit" that is listed on eBay. The number is 220300791811. There are a lot more of really exciting pictures to look at ZZZZZZZZZZ. I can't believe the money that people are bidding for a BASE V/8 TBI Firebird (1 of 600) with decals and a STICK ON HOOD SCOOP! Take off the decals and the PEP BOY wheels and you got a STOCK Firebird that couldn't get a bid above $5,000. How many of the other 599 are junked or people had the sense to take off all the phony crap, or maybe just kept the ZORRO HAT!

Ehhh its was only done by a conversion company. I owned a Pro/Am which was converted by the same company that did the bandits. It does look nice tho, they usually come in red.

Other than the stick on scoop I don't think it is too bad looking. I have read about them before, don't recall ever seeing one in person though. I like the stripe package, and the "Bandit II" script is not obnoxious or overdone.

The wheels look familiar, like old school wheels. I can't think of the name of the brand or style, but that kind of wheel was around in the early to mid 80's. It may have been made by Appliance or DeKa.

As far as the price. I would say it is rather high, but we also need to keep in mind that people who grew up with the cars of the 80's and early 90's are now the ones of age to start collecting the hot cars of their youth. Although not a speedster, it is a memorable limited edition that will look sharp in someone's garage next to the one surviving Yellow 1991 Firebird Formula 1LE or some other rare thirdgen.

I also wonder what he is going to try to get for the Firebird GT convertible in the last picture. That has to be an extremely rare piece.

Yep, which is now (or was) part of LA West, the same people who do the BOSS F-150's and such.

So let me get this straight. All I have to do to make a "collector car" is tack some cheezy crap on it and make a little numbered plate?

What are most "special edition" cars? A few little trinkets and a sticker kit

Z28 + nifty hood, air intake, spoiler, and stickers = the Mighty Camaro SS

For a few thousand bucks you get 10hp (that don't show up on a dyno) and a heavier car.

Truth is. most special editions are less about special than a little bit of marketing. The ChooChoo cars are a great example of this. A few cosmetic upgrades and some nice brochures sold a lot of units.

i like it. let me elaborate on what Timmy was saying cause i can relate...

i was born in 1983. I remember seeing Third Gen commercials and seeing them on carlots when i was young. My favorite car I seen on the lot was a 88 Notchback GTA. Do you have any idea how much I would pay for a MINT, SHOWROOM CONDITION Notchback GTA.....I would buy one before I buy a 5th gen anyday. Its not about the speed...its about owning the car you wanted as a kid, but theyre too old now to be in showroom condition, so youll pay the extra for something you cant buy today.

thats a sweet car. if anything...without the decals its still a really really really clean 91/92 firebird.

Did any of you take a look at the other cars he is selling. This guy has some garage. A Grand National with 16 miles on it, NOT 16,000. "16". Unbelievable.
