Congrats to Nick (The Hammer)

We had a track rental yesterday at Atco, and Nick finally got his goal of a 12 second run. 99 Lightning, Bassani Cat-back, JLP Cone filter, Tune, ported throttle body and plenum. Ran on Nitto Drag Radials on a 60* day and the track temp was about 75*.

12.891 @ 105.88. 1.88 60' (not his fastest, it was bogging some)

Fastest stock pulley (full weight, stock motor, no extra power adder) truck is turning 12.78s so I believe there will be a new record for that coming up soon. Congrats Nick, lets get a cold night and set the new record.

thanks sooooooooo much for all the help yesterday i definitely could not have done it all without you!
that first 12 second pass was by far the best one....i couldn't stop smiling after that
so it looks like i'll be going for that stock pulley record...i know we can get it, just need some of that cool fall air

Nick, see if anyone has a set of skinnies you can borrow for the night. Skinnies are easily worth 2 tenths on a heavy truck like yours.

A little good air and some skinnies and you will go flying by that record.

i ran it with American Racing Baja 16's in the front...its sorth of a cheap skinny for Lightnings
definitely alot lighter than the stockers but its no Bogart thats for sure
i also ran it on a emailed starter tune..i changed the MAF on Thursday and those were the first passes on it...my tuner says there is more left in it )

Mike maybe i'll see you there on tuesday if i can make it

Sounds like you need to talk to your tuner, maybe get him some data log info, and get back to it ASAP.

Keep it going, borrow skinnies, get those headers on, work on staging super shallow, go get that record!!!.

haha everyone agrees that 1. i need a cooler night 2. i have more left in the truck/tune 3. i can break the record )
just all 3 have to come together..i have some more tricks up my sleeve
me and the guy who set the record are at similar mods...so i want to keep everything the same and break it

Get the headers on and the tune retouched and rip that record to pieces

No need to worry about keeping it similar if you can make the new record last a while

The headers void the warranty on that exhaust, I believe he wants to do it without them.

Martin, your tune blows! Slow shifts, knock retard, and dropping timing at the 1000' mark sucks.

i been telling you forever you need a tune
put that valve body in and a good tune on and see what your truck really can do
