What would you guys do?

I could pick up a set of 16 in. 97-99 Chrome Z wheels w/ tires(good tread) for 175 bucks locally in good condition. I had them before, they came stock on my old 97z and for a stocker i like em..Or just wait until after taxes and get some 17's and tires...Id like 17's, but it would be nice to have the extra loot to put elsewhere without digging into my other money. Either way I could sell the 16 in. firebird wheels on now w/ fairly new tires...Thats where im at and I keep going back and forth

well i would definitely want wheels and tires for winter, unless you aren't dding the car. 17's will fill the fenders nice, but then you will want to lower it what are your intentions with the car? just cruising around or alot of racing or what?

Its not a daily driver, basically going be a weekend/ njboa cruise car . The car seems a little lower then usual already (for some odd reason). Well I could use the wheels on the car now for winters...tires still have great tread...It would look alot better w/ 17's I suppose.

well i would shop around and if you find a sweet deal for 17's, do it
tires are a little pricier though and they don't have as much sidewall for comfort if you are into that. you would also have to calibrate your speedo if you use it.

17's. Im running 275/40/17's all around and they arent bad at all. I only get slight rubbing in the front at full lock, and only while backing up.

I like the sound of the chrome 16's, I always like the look of stock-appearing wheels or or wheels that don't stand out too much. If it was me, I would do the chrome 16's, and save the money that would have gone into 17's. You could use that money for a lot of other things, or you could just keep it in the bank and collect interest. But thats just my opinion.

Collecting interest on that little bit of money is a drop in the bucket

That is a great price on chrome wheels + tires, but chrome doesnt look the best on your green/teal whatever color IMO. Wait it out on a pair of black or gunmetal 17's.

If those are the stock springs I would say it looks lower because of fatigue. I lowered my car with the eibach prokit when I had the stock 16's and it looked great. Good for looks and cruising but terrible for traction and clearance. I had to go back to stock springs and BFH mod when I got my ZR1 rims because of rubbing issues...just throwing it out there
